Welsh Lamb and Beef Producers Ltd (WLBP) is a farmer-controlled agricultural cooperative society of over 7,500 Welsh livestock farmers. Livestock production is the backbone of farming in Wales and is of significant commercial importance to the economy as a whole. The preservation of the Welsh family farm with its traditional focus on cattle and sheep rearing is critical to the maintenance of a vibrant rural economy and is essential to the maintenance of the scenic beauty of the Welsh countryside and landscape. The sustainability of Welsh livestock farming is dependent upon the effective marketing of the produce of Welsh livestock farmers and WLBP’s objectives are to develop and manage the tools that will help our members reach that goal.
